Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Scottish Bakers Conference for 2020 has been postponed indefinitely.

Taking place at the conference will be the Scottish Baker of the Year competition. In this competition, participants will submit up to ten bakery products where they will rival to see who has the best baked goods in all of Scotland. The competition categories include biscuit, bread (traditional and sourdough), individual cake, morning roll (including French and Danish style), savoury, scones, and celebration, as well as the all-new free-form category.

Bundy Baking Solutions announced the launch of a new business, Synova LLC, to manufacture and distribute baking release agents. The new business, located in Westerville, Ohio, will offer release agents for baked goods including bread and cakes, as well as food-grade release agents for troughs and other bakery equipment.
