Energy

All of our operating facilities are in the process of converting to high performance lighting that will reduce energy consumption for lighting by up to 50%. In our American Pan^® plant alone, we will save over 250,000 watts in the next 5 years… equivalent to removing 192 vehicles from the road.

Water

We work to ensure all waste water meets relevant standards.

Gas Emissions

We work to ensure all gas emissions meet relevant standards and use exempt organic solvents which contribute no negative gases to the ozone or smog.

Solid Waste

Bundy Baking Solutions currently recycles the following items:

• Office computer and paper products
• Wooden skids/pallets
• Cardboard
• Aluminum cans
• Scrap metal from production. In fact, our American Pan^® operation recycles an average of 220,000 lbs. of scrap metal per month and by recycling just one obsolete mixer, RTB can keep over 7 tons of metal out of our landfills.

Pans

• ePAN^®s use less raw materials and consume less energy than traditional bun and bread pans.
• StayFlat^™ sheet pans are designed to resist pan failure due to flaring and bowing, thus extending pan life and reducing resource consumption.

Coatings

• Both AMERICOAT^® Plus silicone pan coating and DuraShield^® dark non-stick coating reduce or eliminate the need for oils or release products.
• We continuously work on formulas to improve bake properties while also using fewer to no regulated chemicals or VOC’s.

Equipment

• Our open frame mixer design requires less water for sanitation.
• Our mixer bowl mounting bearings are designed to be lubrication free and thus consume less oil.

Facility Locations & Transportation

• We maintain 13 Pan Glo^® facilities located across North America for the most efficient shipping to and from customers, reducing carbon emissions and resource consumption for transportation.
• We use our own trucking fleet to better manage resource consumption.
• Our lighter ePAN^® designs require less energy for transportation.

Reclaimable by Design

• Reclaim systems for DuraShield^® coating result in less than 1% of product loss.
• Our proprietary AMERICOAT^® Plus coating machine design provides accurate coating coverage and enables reclaim/recycling of the coating.

Waste Prevention

• Obsolete baking pans from RTB's used pan inventory are recycled.
• Obsolete equipment in RTB used inventory is recycled or disassembled for parts.
